I really related to several people in your book. As we talked about them in our Sunday School Class, we could identify and then recognize God in our own lives. Sometimes, we get so caught up in everyday survival we go to church and say we are christians. However, by recognizing God`s work in our lives we are transformed to believers of Christ. Am I a Christian? Yes!!! I am! ~Rebecca
Many of us as children have been victims of drive-by evangelism. Where someone asks you "do you want to go to heaven? then repeat this prayer". We were told as long as we could answer yes after a few questions, then we were saved. But being born again is a supernatural work of God on the inside of a person. It is a passing from death to life. It only comes about by the Power of God, on His terms, not ours! This book helps to remind us what it really meens to be saved! To God be the Glory ~Sam
I`m going to order some of your books to keep on hand when someone seeks counsel for assurance of their salvation-- also just if we think they might benefit from reading it. ~Andrea
We have been using your book for our Sunday School lessons the last few weeks. ~Carrie H.
One of the greatest assets for me was that it was short, to the point and it makes you think. ~John
I was telling our friends about you and she pulled your book out of her purse! ~Tony
This is a "must read" book for all new church members and anyone who seeks to understand true salvation. ~Linda
It is an easy read, and not a book that makes you feel overwhelmed. ~Sue

Examining our salvation is not a sin, there are several places in the Bible that we are encouraged to do just that. 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us to “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith, examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you – unless indeed you fail the test?”
Self-examination either gives us assurance of our salvation, points out sin in our lives, or draws us to salvation to obtain peace. Whatever the reasons we are led to examine our salvation, it brings us to a deeper relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Am I a Christian? is not only a book, but a calling from God. In 2006 after witnessing the salvation of her husband who believed he had been saved for 30 years, author Nena Roberts was led to the scripture, Habakkuk 2:2, “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that they may run with it.” (NIV)
Nena didn’t know what direction she should go with the book, but soon God placed people in her life with similar experiences of that of her husband in believing they were a Christian until God showed them otherwise. She found her direction in this and based the book on their testimonies.
God showed her that He wanted a “keep it simple” book, so that is what Nena has done with Am I a Christian? Through the honest testimonies in the pages of this book, readers will learn how these regular people went through the steps to embrace and fully understand the peace that comes with true salvation. Simply worded, straightforward study questions at the end of each chapter helps the reader answer the question, am I a Christian?
For over a year Am I a Christian? was rejected by publishers or it was suggested to Nena that she make the book larger (AIC is only 72 pages). With each proposal she spent time in prayer and found it clear that she was to keep the manuscript just the way it was, even if never got published.
Nena received a phone call from Tate Publishing who believed in the manuscript and was willing to keep God’s calling as it was. She and her husband Billy spent an entire weekend in prayer and was shown that now was the time to “…run with it” (Habakkuk 2:2). The entire team at Tate Publishing has been a “God Thing” and Nena is grateful and blessed that God chose them to publish Am I a Christian?
